Determined or Deterred Writer?

Writing is one of the most fascinating endeavors anyone may incur or attempt to complete. It is a very competitive field and a dangerous course of action to employ as a primary financial income resource. Out of every 1,000 writers that attempt to become prominent, only .5 % make it trough and one becomes a steady favorite among the readers of his genre of choice. There are many reasons to choose to realize such a bold inquiry.  We expressed it as bold, because it is your imagination relating a story to readers that you will most likely have not contact with. This brings to the attention of this young writer, the need to be evaluated. When others revise your work, it is to critique the substance of your style. Many Editors are portrayed as vicious and very despicable elements in the world of publishing. To my understanding they are the keys to motivation.

One can choose to write, one can choose to be evaluated, but; one cannot not choose how others will relate to one’s findings, therefore having feedback whether it is positive or negative serves as a research tool.  Just because, they say no does not mean you have to stop writing, regardless of what others believe, the key to success is in finding a style that most readers can relate to.
Many promising writers give in to the negative, they forget that in order to succeed you must fail 100,000 thousands times. Not every one is as lucky as that one in a million horse, which wins the derby. We are not the usual lottery ticket holder who plays his pocket change and wins the $100,000,000.00 million pot.
Believe that if you go back and revise your work over an over, you can probably learn more about your style of writing. Proofs of this are writers such as, Dan Brown, Stephen Hawking, George R.R. Martin, and of course JR. Tolkien. If you could ask them how they became successful, they would say with repetition and practice. There are many one hit wonders, but being constantly successful is a price that many cannot achieve. So I say keep writing away, let your editor chew you a new one, but keep in mind that you hold the power over your own fate.
